Pens Eye View - Artist Interview

Updated: Sep 21, 2020

It’s a bit surreal having the chance to sit down with Argentine-born Americana rock singer/songwriter Ramiro Fauve – the incredibly talented omni-artist having blazed a career any creative could be envious of. You may know him best for his design work and some of his mega murals in California, but we’ve really been enjoying his musical career, one that kicked off in busy New York City in the late 70s. The passion for creation runs in Fauve’s blood; his mother, Suni Paz has influenced an entire generation of musicians through her special take on folk music, and his uncle happens to be the Academy- and Grammy Award-winning Jorge Calandrelli. We had the chance to discuss Ramiro’s own approach to modern folk music (which includes some serious pop sensibilities), as you’ll hear on his latest massive project, a 26-track double album, Where Rivers Cross Vols. 1 & 2.
